About

Born to an English diplomat father and Austrian supermarket cashier mother, Mit Nerraw spent his childhood attending schools in Switzerland, Morocco and southern France.

Fluent in 5 languages (including Esperanto), he first developed an interest in writing as a child from his French housekeeper who told thrilling bedtime stories of her exploits during the war (and who also had a moustache).

After graduating from Oxford where he read History and Nordic Carpentry, he married an American weather reporter and moved to an isolated volcanic island with an operating monorail.
